Chestene Croy Bruce of Redfield, Arkansas was born August 31, 1937 in Little Rock, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Chester Andy and Dollie Howlett Croy. She was a member of Orion Missionary Baptist Church in Redfield. She enjoyed singing and spending time with her family.

Ms. Bruce died Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock at the age of 80.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Lynn Bruce; son, David Andrew Bruce; sister, Vivian Joan Minyard.

Survivors: sons, Steven Lynn Bruce of Torrence, California, Robert A. Bruce of Fontana, California, Charles Wayne Bruce of Redfield; daughter, Myra J. Ferrell of Redfield; brother, Ronald Wayne Croy (Wilma) of East End; grandchildren, Adina Bruce, Brian K. Bruce, Nicholas Ferrell and Brittney Ferrell; 8 great grandchildren and a host of friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Orion Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Jimmy Easley officiating. Burial will follow at Orion Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service at the church from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M.
