Chester E. Hawkins of Sheridan, Arkansas was born April 10, 1953 at Pine Bluff, Arkansas, the son of the late Bob and Dorothy Williams Hawkins.  He was a retired high voltage electrician having worked at International Paper Company.  He loved being outdoors and enjoying nature.  He belonged to Herring Hunting Club, and enjoyed trains, woodworking and building things.  Another one of the talents he enjoyed was cooking and grilling.

Mr. Hawkins died Thursday, July 10, 2025 at St. Vincent Medical Center in Little Rock, at the age of 72.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Brenda Sue Heird Hawkins.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Rundell Hawkins; daughter, Vanessa Hawkins (Jimmy); brother and sister-in-law, Kevin and Sherry Hawkins; all of Sheridan. He is also survived by his best buddy, his dog Harley. Chester knew everybody and was a friend to many.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, July 17, 2025 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan with Bro. Raymond Derrick officiating.  Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery.  Visitation is also Thursday, 10:00-11:00 A.M. prior to the service.
