Chester Marshall, Sr., of Sheridan, Arkansas was born March 24, 1924 in Carthage, Arkansas, the son of the late Horace Lee and Nancy Raney Marshall. He had served in the United States Army in China/Berma/India during World War II. He was a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan and a retired truck driver.
Mr. Marshall died Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Happy Valley Rehab in Malvern, at the age of 94.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Janet Marshall, 6 sisters and 2 brothers.
Survivors: wife, Carolyn Joyner Marshall of Sheridan; sons, Chester Marshall, Jr and wife Teresa of Batesville, David Marshall of Sheridan; daughter, Judy Amerson and husband David of Magnet Cove; brother, John Marshall of Sheridan; sister, Margaret Neal of Carthage; 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Rick Bolin officiating. Burial will follow at Hampton Springs Cemetery near Carthage. Visitation will be from 10:00 .M. until service time at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Jonathan Marshall, John David Amerson, Mike McJunkins, Brandon McJunkins, Randy Bordeaux and Trey Hazelwood.
