Chloe Mae Bartee Crouch of Sheridan, Arkansas was born July 26, 1925 in Ashdown, Arkansas the daughter of the late Joseph Andrew and Odessa Jones Bartee. She was a charter member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Sheridan and was a member of the Ephesus E.H.C. She had worked many years at West Bend and also was a secretary at the Sheridan Elementary School. She enjoyed reading, working in her flower beds and gardening.
Mrs. Crouch died Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock at the age of 88.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Hugh Alva Crouch who died September 16, 2006, and a sister, Josephine Stoker.
Survivors: sons, James and wife Kathy Crouch; John and wife Ann Crouch all of Sheridan; 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 16 step-great grandchildren and 3 step-great great grandchildren, as well as a host of friends and church family.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Gary Copeland and Bro. Hosea Harrington officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are James Lloyd Jones, Rayvon Vailes, Don Plunkett, Rick Earnhart, Donald Clark and Arlin Sykes. Honorary pallbearers are her grandsons.
