Christina Joanne Smith, most commonly known as "JoJo" in recent years, from Sheridan, Arkansas passed away Saturday, January 13th, 2024, after a long battle with health-related struggles.  Christy is survived by her husband Tim Smith, daughter Elizabeth Smith, granddaughter Abbigail Marie, and mother Donna McLaughlin.  She is preceded in death by her dad, William McLaughlin, her grandparents, and several other loved ones.

Christy was a devoted wife of almost 38 years, an unconditionally loving mother for 36 years, and the World's Best JoJo for over 9 years.  She loved being a wife and mother, but she was truly created to be a JoJo for her granddaughter Abby.  To know Christy was to have an extra bright and joyous light in your life.  She never met a stranger, and she loved those around her fiercely and unapologetically.  Christy's calling in life, pre-JoJo times, was to be in the business of helping the elderly.  She was a Nursing Home Administrator for 20 years, and she poured her heart into her work and into the residents who she cared so much for.  In her free time, Christy loved spending time with family, planting flowers and watching them grow, being at the water – it didn't matter if it was the lake or the ocean, and going fishing when she could wrangle someone to go with her.  But most of all, she loved her mom, husband, daughter, and granddaughter without any hesitation.

There will not be a service as Christy opted to not have one.  The family will have a Celebration of Life event when it's warmer weather in the spring.  In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the following organizations in Christy's name:
