Clarence Elmond Loftis, Jr. of Sheridan, Arkansas was born July 20, 1928 at Bee Branch, Arkansas, the son of the late Hugh Clarence and Elmo Maurine Stone Loftis. He attended Sheridan Pentecostal Church of God, was a World War II Army Veteran, and a retired self-employed welder. He enjoyed listening to country music and spending time outdoors.

Mr. Loftis died at his home, Saturday, March 17, 2012, at the age of 83.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Anna Kellems Loftis; son, Danny Loftis; grandson, Darick Kellems; brothers, Charles, Gene, Nathan, and Bill Loftis.

Survivors: Daugther, Colleen Volner; sons, David and James Kellems; brothers, Kenneth and Jerry Loftis; all of Sheridan; sisters, Carolyn Williams of Cabot and Diane Gorbet of Beebe; grandchildren, Cassie Blake, Michael Volner, Misty Green, Daniel, Matt, and Russell Kellems, all of Sheridan, and 3 other grandchildren in California; great grandchildren, Audrey Green and Jacie Blake.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan.
