Clayton James Buie of Prattsville, Arkansas was born November 3, 1942 at Prattsville, the son of the late Thomas Monroe and Mary Pearl Stuckey Buie. He was a member of Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church, was a veteran of the Vietnam war, having served in the United States Army, and was retired from Grant County Waste Management.

Mr. Buie entered the gates of heaven on Friday, August 8, 2008 at Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton at the age of 65. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by brothers, Curtis and Billy Joe and sisters, Eunice Earnest, Addie Mae Earnest and Odessa Robbins. He was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Ouzts Buie of Prattsville; daughter, Tonya McDonald and friend Timothy Powell of Prattsville; brothers, Cletis Buie of Palm Springs, California, Thomas Buie of Poyen and Charles Buie of Prattsville; sister, LaVoie Shoptaw of Sheridan; grandchildren, Brittany Gatlin, Whitney Gatlin, Dylan McDonald; great grandchild, Tristen Gatlin.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at the Memorial Gardens Funeral Home chapel in Sheridan with Bro. Don Goodman officiating. Burial will be in Philadelphia Cemetery at Prattsville. Visitation: 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Monday.
