Carmen Diane "Connie" Winston of Sheridan, Arkansas was born July 25, 1949 at Little Rock, the daughter of the late C.W. and Olive Smallfield Gunter. She was a member of Lost Creek
Missionary Baptist Church at Sheridan, and was a rural mail carrier for many years. She took special care of the folks on her mail route and by nature was a very giving and selfless person. Connie's greatest enjoyment came from making memories with her family. She was an "exceptionally" loving wife and mother and was a very proud "grandma".
Mrs. Winston died Thursday, February 19, 2009 at her home in Sheridan at the age of 59. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Randy Gunter and a sister, Pat McCurley.
Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Gerald Winston of Sheridan; Daughters, Catherine Worthen of Sheridan, Janet and husband Brian Rickett of Maumelle, and Rachel and husband Jonathan Hillman of Almyra; Sister, Barbara Taylor of White Hall; Grandchildren, Blake Worthen, Brittany Worthen, Jada Hillman, and Ian Hillman.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Sunday, February 22, 2009 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel at Sheridan with Bro. Brian Rickett and Bro. Kenneth Click officiating. Burial will be in Lost Creek Cemetery. Visitation: 5:00-7:00 P.M. Saturday.
Pallbearers will be Dub Taylor, Kenny Taylor, Jason Winston, Blake Worthen, Jesse Stinnett, Wayne Stuckey and Richard Keele.
