Cynthia Jane Deweese, of Sheridan, Arkansas, passed peacefully on June 8, 2025, at the Sheridan Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center. She was 72.

Born on October 17, 1952, in Dumas, Arkansas, Cynthia was the beloved daughter of the late Lorene Tedder Singleton.  Before returning to Sheridan, she found spiritual nourishment and community at Abundant Life Worship Center in Dumas.

Cynthia's heart was her family. She was preceded in death by her cherished mother, her dear sister Kathy Bradshaw, and her precious grandson Tyler Deweese—each of whom she held close in her heart until her final days.

She leaves behind her son, Keith Deweese (Teresa); her grandson, Zachary Deweese (Shelby); and her great-granddaughter, Vivian Tyler Deweese, who carries forward the name and spirit of those who came before her. Cynthia is also lovingly remembered by her sister, Rita Gill (Leslie), and her brother, Glenn Deweese (Polly), along with extended family and friends who will miss her.

Honoring her wishes, there will be no public service. Cynthia will be laid to rest at Walnut Lake Cemetery in Dumas, Arkansas—a place close to her roots and her heart.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Sheridan Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center Activity Fund, so that others may continue to find joy and comfort in the place where Cynthia spent her final days.

Though she may be gone from our sight, Cynthia's love and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
