Dale Lockard of Bryant, Arkansas, formerly of Little Rock, was born September 19, 1944 in Prim, Arkansas (Cleburne County), the son of the late Clarence and Emojean Stephens Lockard. He owned and operated his Shelter Insurance Agency in Little Rock, for over 47 years. He enjoyed playing music with his guitar, and was also a big Elvis fan. His greatest joy was spending time, and making memories with his family. He never missed a ballgame, or any other event that his grandkids were participating in.

Mr. Lockard died Monday, January 4, 2021 at Sheridan Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Sheridan, at the age of 76. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Taylor Calaway.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Andy Calaway; grandchildren, Alex Calaway (Presley Matoska) , Kailey Calaway, all of Sheridan; brothers, Larry Lockard (Karen) of Little Rock, Dwane Lockard (Jo) of Fairfield Bay, Lynn Lockard (Vicky) of Heber Springs; sister, Charlotte Chance of Heber Springs. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 P. M., Friday, January 8, 2021 at Everett Cemetery in Prim, Arkansas (Cleburne County). Visitation is Thursday, 5:00-8:00 P.M. at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in Sheridan.
