Damon Foster Cotton of Sheridan, Arkansas was born December 8, 1959 at Sheridan, the son of the late Howard and Lillie Lou Walton Cotton.  He was a retired ironworker who didn't believe in wasting anything.  So much so, that he had tremendous vision and talent to repurpose things.  He loved anything related to the outdoors. He believed in conservation and preservation, and would commonly pick up and dispose of litter trying to make things better than he found them.  Damon also had a passion for rescuing any type of animal you could imagine and helping them heal and survive.

Mr. Cotton died Sunday, June 12, 2022 in Grant County, Arkansas as a result of a motorcycle accident, at the age of 62.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Darick Cotton; brother, Stan Cotton; and granddaughter, Mary-Jo Grace Tolson.

Survivors include his wife, Dawn Davis Cotton of Sheridan; daughters, Tiffany Kirkpatrick, Christina Greco (Stephen), Faye Tolson (Robert); grandchildren, Faith, Allison, Jaxson, Kenny, Ike, Harley, Emma, Emmett, Natalie, Zoey, Lily; sisters, Peggy Cotton, Brenda Lawson, Betty Ann Hardwick (Chris); nephews and nieces, Gary Don, Nickie, Kristie, Roseanne, Michelle, Stanley, Kevin, Chris, Ethan, Michael, Cody, Shelley, Billy Joe, Jon, Katie.  He is also survived by numerous other extended family members and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, June 16, 2022 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan with Bro. Michael Walton officiating.  Burial will follow in Rhodes Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday, 6:00-8:00 P.M.
