Danny Ray Hicks of Sheridan, Arkansas was born August 12, 1953, in Benton, AR the son of the late Jennings Bryan and Billie Jo Neighbors Hicks. Danny was a retired nurse from Saline Mental Hospital; he was also retired from Walmart in Sheridan where he worked in the garden center. Danny was a simple man who enjoyed being at home on his couch watching tv or playing on his phone. Also, he liked going to Walmart when he could to spend some time with his friends he worked with. Danny was a good guy with a big heart and love for his family; he will be dearly missed.

Danny passed away Monday June 23, 2025, at his home at the age of 71.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Petra Yonker Hicks, sisters Chelle Jeffcoat Baker of Benton and Kristina Jeffcoat Owen of Avilla, grandson Anthony Yonker and a daughter in law Renae Yonker. He is survived by Jeffery (Jordan) Hicks and daughter Stella of Little Rock, Alyssa (Daniel) Morrison and daughter Lydia of Lucerne, Switzerland, two stepsons Armin (Tina) Yonker of Sheridan, and Tony Yonker of Prescott, and his grandchildren and great grandchildren Blake Kennedy, Cole Yonker, Samantha Yonker McCain, Travis Kennedy, Brandon Yonker, Ryan Kennedy, Rowan Kennedy, Zoey Yonker, Bently Yonker, Noah Yonker, Noah Decklyn Woodberry, Anthony Jace Yonker, Xendaya Elizabeth McCain and Xuri Vernell-Petra McCain.

The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
