Obituary

Danny Wayne Rettstatt, age 73 of Cabot, Arkansas departed this life on Friday, July 26, 2024.  He was born on January 18, 1951 to Rosa (Youngblood) Rettstatt and Charles Virgil Rettstatt in Morrilton, Arkansas.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Donna Rettstatt; son Justin Wayne Rettstatt (Sarah), daughter Amber Nicole Cronkhite (Drew), Shawna Cotner (Jerry) and several grandchildren including; Brandi, Cooper, Lilah, Finley, Grayson, and Justin Jr (JJ).   He is preceded in death by his parents, and the following brothers and sister; Richard, Charles, Joe, William (Pete), Thomas (Tommy), and Carolyn; a grandson Trae (TJ) Cotner, nephew Jarrod Wylie and father-in-law Douglas Wylie.  He is survived by one brother, Dickie Rettstatt.  He is also survived by his mother-in-law Paula Wylie and brother-in-law Paul Wylie who Danny loved to spend time with; along with his wonderful niece and nephew Megan Wylie and Lathan Wylie.

Danny never met a stranger and enjoyed talking to everyone that he could.  He was a Razorback fan through good times and bad, and tried to never miss a game.  He had a long and diverse working life that included Simpson Printing, Kenworth of Arkansas, Quality Ford, Fletcher-Tate Ford, and Red River Dodge of Heber Springs where he retired and enjoyed all his co-workers.  Danny fought a hard 15 year battle with heart disease and he was forever grateful for the numerous doctors, nurses and other care-givers.  He was especially thankful to the doctors at CHI St. Vincent Heart Clinic at Kanis in Little Rock and their staff; Dr. Lynn Davis, Dr. Muhammad Waqas, Dr. Thomas Wallace, Debbie Evans, and his longtime primary care physician, Dr. Scott Brown, Gina and Katz.

The family will have a graveside celebration at the Leola Cemetery in Leola, Arkansas on Friday, August 2, 2024 at 11:00 A.M.
