Danny Dale Shepherd of Sheridan, Arkansas, was born May 15, 1952 at Little Rock, the son of the late Vernon Clyde and Versa Hanning Shepherd. He was a truck driver and he loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed reading and watching movies.

He was also of the Christian faith.

Danny died Tuesday August 4, 2015 in California at the age of 63. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandmother that raised him, Dora Sessions; brothers, Cecil Shepherd, Nick Shepherd, Paul Shepherd, Jim Shepherd, and Thomas Ashworth; sisters, Lillian Shepherd Sisson and Christine Edwards.

Survivors include his best friend and companion of many years, Irene Scott of Sheridan; daughters, Paula Pitre and husband Pete of Sheridan, Sandie Scott of Sheridan, Debbie Scallion and husband Chris, of Riverside, California; sister, Verna Schweitzer and husband Sam of Independence, Iowa; grandchildren, Hannah Scott and fiance' Marks Mitchell, Camden Smith, Mary Pitre, Lauren Scallion, Christin Scallion, Abby Scallion, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, August 24, 2015 at
Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery near Sheridan. Visitation will be Monday from 1:00 until service time.

Pallbearers are James Alexander, Paul Allen, Edward Joyner, Camden Smith, Tommy Ashworth, Rickey Whitaker, Roy Welch and Dickey Whitaker.
