David Allen Johnson of Sheridan, Arkansas was born November 10, 1937 at Sheridan, the son of the late Byron and Ruby Allen Johnson. He was a member of First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan, and was retired from Gaylord Paper Mill in Pine Bluff after 41 years. David was an avid outdoorsman, who loved hunting, fishing, and horseback riding.

Mr. Johnson died Friday, August 23, 2013 at Texarkana, Texas as the result of an accident at the age of 75.

Survivors include his wife, Agnes Kight Johnson of Sheridan; daughter, Deannda Sontag and husband Charles of Vicksburg, Mississippi; grandson, Chris Knight.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M., Sunday, August 25, 2013 at New Hope Cemetery near Sheridan, with Bro. Michael Walton officiating. Visitation will also be Sunday, from 1:30-2:30 P.M. at the funeral home, prior to leaving in procession to the cemetery.
