David Steven Lawson of Prattsville, Arkansas was born April 12, 1957 at Marianna, Arkansas, the son of the late Robert Carl Lawson and Helen Ireta Moelling. David was a faithful member of Leola Missionary Baptist Church in Leola, where he was involved in numerous ministries over the years, especially working with the young people in AWANA. He also enjoyed watching television, camping and the outdoors.

Mr. Lawson died Friday, August 21, 2020 at Baptist Medical Center at the age of 63. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Lawson.

Survivors include his wife, Pamela Lawson; sons, Brian, Brett, Brad, and Brent Lawson, all of the home; brothers, Wesley Dale Lawson (Shirley) of Gatesville, TX, Dennis Lawson (Sharal) of Sheridan, Terry Lawson (Sandra) of Leola; sisters, Carla Lawson (Tom) of Biloxi, MS, Janet Ferguson and Linda Sue Hayes, both of Sheridan. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, church family and friends.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at Leola Missionary Baptist Church. Visitation will be the night prior at 6 – 8 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Brush Creek Cemetery. Due to Covid 19, masks are required at the visitation and funeral.

Pallbearers are Jeremy Lawson, Leigh Lawson, Larry Wheatley, Jason Rhodes, Todd Williams, and Charles Carver.
