David L. Mooney of Sheridan, Arkansas was born December 7, 1946 in the Little Creek Community near Sheridan, the son of the late George Edward and Charlene Steele Mooney. He was a member of the Little Creek Missionary Baptist Church, was formerly in the National Guard, and was the owner of David Mooney Trucking where he was a logging contractor. David will be remembered as a devoted husband, father and grandfather. One of David's favorite quotes is from Albert Pike and it describes him so very well: "What we have done for ourselves alone dies with us! What we have done for others and the world remain immortal".
Mr. Mooney died Saturday, October 23, 2004 at the Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock at the age of 57.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 26, 2004 at the Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan with Bro. Calvin Holmes, Bro. Brad Warren officiating, with a eulogy given by Steve Martone. Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday evening from 6:30-8:30 P.M.
