David L. Poole of Sheridan, Arkansas was born April 20, 1945 in Santa Rosa, California to Paul Emerson and Helen Bailey Poole. He was a Baptist and had served in the Vietnam War. He had received his Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and Masters in Industrial Engineering from U of A in Fayetteville. He had worked at Sun Oil in Tulsa, Oklahoma and Gulf Oil in Baytown, Texas before moving back to Arkansas where he later worked at the Department of Health.

He passed away Friday, August 26, 2016 at his home in Sheridan.

He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Emerson Poole; brother, Paul Fredrick Poole and two nephews.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn Ball Poole of Sheridan; mother, Helen Poole of Cabot; sister, Rosalie Peterson of Neosho, Missouri; sister-in-law, Nona Poole of Cabot and 8 nephews and nieces.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:30 P.M. Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Marlow Missionary Baptist Church in the Ico Community, near Sheridan.

Memorials may be made to Little Rock Animal Shelter or Grant County Museum.
