David William Ray, Sr. of Prattsville, Arkansas was born October 2, 1948 in Richmond, Indiana, the son of Dorothy Marie Ryan Ray and the late Joseph William Ray. He was a retired construction worker, a Protestant and he enjoyed camping, fishing and going to flea markets. He was a wonderful son, brother, husband, and grandfather who will be dearly missed.

Mr. Ray died Monday, January 16, 2017 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock at the age of 68.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph William Ray.
Survivors: Dianne McGlothen Ray of Prattsville; sons, Jeff Ray and wife Elisha of Lexington, AL, David W. Ray, Jr. and wife Sharon of Angier, NC, Mike Ezsol of Lebanon, TN, John Ezsol and wife Dana of College Corner, OH; daughters, Sandy Collins and husband Carter of Denniston, KY, Lori Thomason and husband James of Augusta; mother, Dorothy Ray of Liberty, IN; brothers, Steve Ray and wife Dianne of Ft. Worth, TX, Joshua Ray and wife Sue of Liberty, IN; sister, Carol Coomes and husband Tom of Oxford, OH; 12 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and one on the way and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:00 until service time.

A family graveside service will be held at a later date at West Point Cemetery in Liberty, Indiana.
