David Shane Wilson of Ft. Smith, Arkansas was born November 10, 1999 in Little Rock, Arkansas the son of Timothy M. Wilson II and Michelle Davette Hix Wilson. He attended Beard Elementary School in Ft. Smith and was going to play football, the flute in the band and the base in the orchestra. He had many passions in his life including, singing, painting, building with Legos, talking and visiting his neighbors. He was a precious boy who loved everyone and he never met a stranger.

Shane died Saturday, June 23, 2012 in Ft. Smith at the age of 12.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, David Hix, Grandmother, Thelma Trice, and his great grandparents, Marlin and Frances Wilson, John Clay and Lela O'Brien, Adell Rush and Floyd and Coelia Cleghorn.

Grandparents, Tim and Sue Wilson of Sheridan; Allen and Floydene Rush of Mississippi; Aunts and uncles, Brian Wilson of Hope; Matt and Kelli Wilson of Dallas; Tammy Crowe and Terry Gregory of Hope; Rhonda and Scott Stoops of Little Rock and Melissa Trice of Ft. Smith; and many, many cousins and friends and classmates.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bob Hill officiating. Burial will follow at Wilson Cemetery near Rison. Visitation will also be Wednesday from 9:00 until service time.

Pallbearers are Jimmy Crowe, Jerry Stoops, Sam Stoops, Scott Stoops, Brian Wilson and Matt Wilson. Honorary pallbearers will be Brad Roberts, Terry Gregory, Jeff Franklin and Trevor Hixson.
