DeAlma Tate Boyd of Sheridan, Arkansas formerly of Vivian, Louisiana was born in Gary, Texas on April 22, 1918 the daughter of the late B. H. And Georgia Tate. She was an active member of First Baptist Church in Sheridan, the Fidelis Sunday School Class and the Prime-Timers. She was retired from Dixie Department Store in Vivian and was a homemaker.
Mrs. Boyd died Thursday, April 8, 2004 at the Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock at the age of 85. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vance Boyd, Sr.
She is survived by two sons, Vance Boyd, Jr. And wife Nell of Vivian, Louisiana and William Boyd of Leesville, Louisiana: Daughter; Charlene Frisby and husband Larry of Sheridan, Arkansas; Sister; Therral Scarborough of Roseville, California; granddaughter, Teresa and husband Travis McCormick of Russellville, Arkansas: Grandsons: Norman Boyd Frisby of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Michael Frisby and wife Megan of Sheridan, Arkansas; 3 great grandchildren; Regan and James McCormick and Aidon Frisby and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, April 10, 2004 at 10:00 AM at First Baptist Church in Sheridan. A graveside commital service will be held Saturday afternoon at 4:00 PM at Evans Richey Cemetery at Vivian, Louisiana. Visitation: 6-8 PM Friday at the funeral home.
