Deanna Elaine Matthews Arnold of Sheridan, Arkansas was born October 30, 1944 at Hagerstown, Maryland, the daughter of the late Dewey and Melinda Rhodes Matthews.  Mrs. Arnold might've just been considered a homemaker to some, but to her, taking care of her family was the greatest gift she could ever be given.  She made certain that she was an active part of her family, as a wife, a mom, and especially as a "Granny".  Her dogs were also a huge part of her life.  Her hobbies included whatever her family wanted to do, so long as she could be a part of it, and she also enjoyed fishing.

Mrs. Arnold died Friday, July 12, 2024 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock at the age of 79.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Forrest Arnold; a grandson, Bentley Maverick Love; son-in-law, James Wagner; and 6 brothers and 5 sisters.

Survivors include her sons, Greg Arnold of Sheridan, Rusty Arnold of Bryant, Clif Arnold of North Little Rock; daughter, Sheryl "Sherry" Wagner of Sheridan; grandchildren, Bailey, Conner, Dustin, Garrett, Kyle, Noah, Bret, Tyler, Amber, Brandon, Cody; great grandchildren, Ryan, Andy, Bryce, Bentley "Bug", Aislyn, Colton, Anastasia, and Deanna got to Heaven in time to be the first to hold her namesake great granddaughter, Elaine James Love, who will be born this Wednesday.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, July 20, 2024 at the Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan with Bro. Jason Smith officiating.  Burial will be in Rhodes Cemetery, south of Sheridan.  Visitation is Friday, 6:00-8:00 P.M.
