November 5, 1947 – December 19, 2025
Delbert Miller of Sheridan, Arkansas was born November 5, 1947, in Webbers Falls, Oklahoma the son of the late Belmont and Telitha Parent Miller. Delbert spent most of his life in the construction industry as an iron worker including working for G&N Construction; later in life he worked as a taxidermist and land lorded several properties in and around Stuttgart, AR. He was a faithful member of Lost Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan and was also a member of the Arkansas Taxidermy association and former Lions Club member in Stuttgart. In his free time, Delbert enjoyed fishing, hunting, planting flowers and trees, as well as being around and watching animals including feeding the birds and being with his dogs. Above all, he loved his family, his legacy of love lives on through them, he will be dearly missed.
Delbert went home to be with his Lord Friday, December 19, 2025, at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas, at the age of 78.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers Arnold, Andrew, Gilbert, and Henry Miller, Sisters Helen and Beatrice Miller, and granddaughter Desarae Miller. He is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years Mary Lee Antenette Miller, sons Jody (Brandy) Miller, Shannon Miller, and Chad (Vicky) Miller, daughter Sonya (Ralph) Warner, brothers Jay (Joyce) Miller and Reynolds "Runt" (Evie) Miller, sister Patricia "Trish" Miller, 9 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren as well as many other extended family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday December 26, 2025, at Lost Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan with Bro. Kenneth Click officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:00 P.M. until service time. Graveside will be held 4:30 P.M. at Shady Grove Cemetery in Clarendon, AR.
