Obituary

Delma Marie McClung Dean Ashcraft of Sheridan, Arkansas was born January 11, 1932 at Sheridan, the daughter of the late Lee Milton and Lena Ethel Henslee McClung. She was a member of First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church at Sheridan where she was active in Golden Agers. Delma had a huge heart and a smile just as big. She brought so much joy to so many people and leaves behind a rich legacy of love and laughter.

Mrs. Ashcraft died Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at Arkansas Hospice at Fort Roots at the age of 74. She was preceded in death by her step-son, Rick Ashcraft; brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe and Dean Burrow McClung and Eric and wife Janie Hern McClung; sister, Willeen McClung.

Survivors include:

Husband: William H. Ashcraft of Sheridan

Son and daughter-in-law: Dave and Evon Dean of Redding, California

Daughter and son-in-law: Paula and Foster Brovan of Shingletown, California

Brothers and sisters-in-law: Don and wife Gail McClung of Hat Creek, California,
Rex and wife Jeannie McClung of Burney, California

Sister and brother-in-law: Lava and husband Lewis Barnes of Burney, California

Grandchildren: Jake Dean, Adam Dean, Dustin Dean, Colby Dean, Justin Dean, Anna Belle Dean, Foster Brovan, Lucas Brovan, Will Ashcraft, and Taylor Boccarossa.

A host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family wishes to say a special "Thank You" to everyone at Arkansas Hospice at Fort Roots for their heartfelt care and concern. She loved you all and we do too.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Friday, November 10, 2006 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel at Sheridan with Bro. Tim Montgomery, Bro. John Mooney and Bro. Michael Walton officiating. Burial will be at Lost Creek Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Laronne Gartman, Steve Gartman, Kim Gartman, David Gartman, Wallace Horton, Raymond Davis, Juan Caple, John L. Crouse, Roy Webb and Oby Smith.

The family will receive friends at the family home, 725 Reynolds Drive in Sheridan (870) 942-3956. Memorials may be made to First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, 402 West Center, Sheridan, Arkansas 72150 or to Arkansas Hospice, Bldg 170 3H, 2200 Fort Roots Dr., North Little Rock, Arkansas 72214.
