Derek Russell Baggett of Sheridan, Arkansas was born October 23, 1983 in Little Rock, Arkansas, the son of Leslie and Pamela Krank Baggett. He was a member of First Southern Baptist Church in Sheridan, and a construction worker. He loved good music, video games, and working on cars. He had a kind heart and was known to help anyone stranded on the side of the road. His greatest pleasure in life was his family, he loved being a dad and playing with his boys.

Derek died on March 7, 2020 in Sheridan at the age of 36.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas and Goldmon Krank; Joe and Mildred Baggett and a special uncle, Timothy Krank.

Survivors: wife, Amy LeAnn Hobson Baggett; parents, Leslie and Pamela Baggett; sons, Aaron Reppond, Brenden Baggett, Ethen Baggett and Joshua Baggett all of Sheridan; sister and brother-in-law, Allison and Randy Michau of Mabelvale; grandmother, Christine Funderburg Krank of Little Rock; nephews, Gavin and Garrett Michau of Mabelvale, best friends, Chris Dunbar, Diana and the late Bill McClung and a host of extended family members and friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 12, 2020 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Donnie Hill officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until service time. A private burial will be held at a later date. After the service, the family will be at the home of Leslie and Pam Baggett, 1412 Keg Mill Road, Sheridan, AR 72150.

Pallbearers are Bradley Blackstock, Colby Blackstock, Daniel Blackstock, Chris Dunbar, Ariel Baggett and Gavin Michau.
