Dewayne Russell Gibson of Sheridan, Arkansas was born November 4, 1968 in Benton, the son of James William Griffin and Linda Marie Roush. He was a self-employed brick mason and ran Dewayne and Sheldon Masonry with his son.

Dewayne lived his life to the best of his abilities and was always known to give and always put people before himself. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, working on cars, dancing/singing karaoke, and was always known as a lady's man. Above all Dewayne loved his family and took all the chances he had to be with them. He was a loving son, brother, father and grandfather and he leaves behind a lasting legacy in his family.

Mr. Gibson died July 28, 2024 at his home at the age of 55.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Sammy Griffin.

Survivors: son, Sheldon Gibson (Wonoka); daughters, Samantha Rose Gibson (Jonathan) Hannah Roberts (Ryne); step children, Justin Bailey, Alex Bailey, Nathan Bailey; brothers, Danny Gibson, William Gibson, JW Griffin, Daniel "Bam Bam" Griffin; Sister, Carrie Griffin; 10 grandchildren, Mason, Isabella, Jaxton, Bently, Dewayne, Kaitlyn, Timber, Paisley, Cole and Reed.

Funeral Service will be Thursday, August 1st at 2:00 P.M. at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in Sheridan with Bro. Jimmy Cannon officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 prior to the service.
