Diana Lynn Jackson of Sheridan, Arkansas was born January 31, 1955, in Fort Riley, Kansas, the daughter of the late Elmer and Emogene Bratton Williams. She was a faithful member of the Church of Christ in Sheridan. Diana graduated in 1973 from Sheridan High School. One year later she met the love of her life. In 1975 they were married. Louis and Diana raised two wonderful kids. They spent their free time traveling, and camping "in the middle of nowhere". They celebrate 49 years of marriage on June 17th. Her favorite hobbies were spending time with Louis and spending time with family. Diana retired in 2016 from the Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters (HIPPY) Program working as a teacher. She will be missed by many.
Mrs. Jackson passed away Friday, May 3, 2024, at UAMS in Little Rock at the age of 69.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Melissa Renee Jackson, and her father and mother-in-law, Louis and Lola Jackson.
Survivors include her husband Louis Andrew Jackson III, son Louis Andrew Jackson IV (Melissa) of Benton, brothers Jerry Randall Williams (Denise) of Conway and Michael Eugene Williams (Elizabeth) of Sheridan, sister Martha Joann Black (Tony) of Bella Vista, grandchildren Cody Jackson (Laken), Jacey Belle Jackson, great grandchild Colter Jackson and another on the way, along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
The funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in Sheridan with Minister Kendall Hemphill and Tom Warmack officiating. Burial will follow at Jackson Cemetery near Sheridan. Visitation will be Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers: Kenny Sites, Stuart Dent, David Dobson, Perry Taylor, Robert Tolson, Hayden Williams, Blake Williams, Brett Black. Honorary Pallbearers: Zack Frazier, Tommy Jackson, Jay Yates, Roy Tolson, Chase Williams, Barry Duncan, and the men of the Church of Christ.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Jackson Cemetery Association, 5521 Hwy 167 N Sheridan, AR 72150.
