Dixie Lee Nora Coulter Freeman (Simpson) of Prattsville, Arkansas, was born December 14, 1930, the daughter of the late George Lloyd Coulter, Sr. and Letha Rosezella Malone Coulter.

Dixie or Mamee as she was known by her grandchildren, great and great great grandchildren was a loving wife, daughter, sister, niece, mother, aunt, mother-in-law, and friend. Her family was her life. She liked to take walks, work puzzles, embroidery when her health permitted and to read her Bible. She was a member of First Landmark Baptist Church and a retired hostess for the Grant County Museum.

Dixie went to heaven on Sunday, November 19, 2023 at the age of 92, surrounded by her loved ones at the home of her son, Larry (Red) Freeman.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband of 52 years, Clarence Vance Freeman, second husband, Rev. Robert A. Simpson for 14 years; son, Jerry Lee Freeman; granddaughter, Aletha Marie Freeman (daughter of Jerry Lee Freeman) brothers, Lloyd Coulter, Jr., Wilford Coulter, Nathan Coulter, Rev. Harold Joe Coulter; sisters, Demarise Freeman and Sylvia Fry.

Survivors: sons, Larry "Red" and wife Sherry Freeman of Prattsville, Narvell "Bean" and wife Latrisia Freeman of Prattsville, Tommy "Stormy" and wife Donna Freeman of Sheridan; brothers, Gayle Coulter of Duncanville, Texas, Rev. Glen Coulter and wife Dutchie of Palo Alto, CA; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren: 3 great great grandchildren; special caregiver and friend, Brittany Hensley.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, November 24, 2023 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with her grandson, Joshua Freeman officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:00 until service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Lost Creek Cemetery in Sheridan. Pallbearers are Joshua Freeman, Cameran Freeman, Casey Freeman, Zackary Spencer, Ryan Corley, Kaleb Freeman and Ethan Freeman.
