Donald Dean Hawkins of Sheridan, AR was born May 21, 1936 in Sheridan, the son of the late Ruby and Minnie Rudkins Hawkins. He was a member of New Life Fellowship Church. He enjoyed flying his plane, hunting, fishing, and spending time at his house boat with family and friends. He was also the Commissioner of Sheridan Airport and a member of Grapevine Hunting Club.

Mr. Hawkins died August 30, 2021 at his home in Sheridan at the age of 85.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bob Hawkins, sister, Maxine Miller and uncle Jack Rudkins.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Hawkins; sister, JoAnn Taylor; daughter, Ronda Lewis; son, Rusty Hawkins; step-daughters, Serena (Sam) Garrett and Sonya Ford; grandchildren, Trishanna McClendon, April Dawn Lewis, Natalie Sorrells, Nikki Grace, Andrew Lewis, Daniel Hawkins, Heather Pultro and Aaliyah Barnett; great grandchildren, Ava and Emma Cecil, Bailey, Skylar, Shelby, and Jack Sorrells, Hanna Lee McClendon, Gracelynn Grace , Journey Hartley, Kylie, Keagan, Kesley Goodnight and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, September 2, 2021 at New Life Fellowship Church with Bro. Steve Cypert officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until service time. Burial will be at Lost Creek Cemetery in Sheridan.

Pallbearers are Daniel Hawkins, Andrew Lewis, Tyler Barnett, Bobby Lee Taylor, Herbie Waymack and Denton Bell.
