Donald Ray Mooney of Mabelvale, Arkansas was born May 23, 1952 at Malvern, Arkansas, the son of the late George Edward Mooney and Charlene Steele Mooney. He was a retired sheet metal fabricator, who enjoyed fishing, pitching horseshoes and could play several instruments by ear.

Ray died Monday, February 17, 2014 at his home, at the age of 61. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Linda Mooney, Sharon Threlkeld; 2 brothers, Charles Mooney, David Mooney.

Survivors include his wife, Karen Ann Reid Mooney of Mabelvale; sons, Jerry and wife Nita Mullins of Prattsville, Chris and wife Christi Whitmire of Sheridan; daughter, Christy Mooney of Sheridan; sister, Sarah Kay Crosswhite of Sheridan; brother, Kenny Wayne Mooney of Sheridan; grandchildren, Kolbie Rimmer, Blake Rimmer, Karlie Singleton, Landon, Logan, and JJ Mullins, Katherine Mullins, Katelee "Bug" Whitmire, Aubree Whitmire.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Sheridan. Visitation will be Wednesday, 6:00-8:00 P.M.
