Donald Lee Smith of Greers Ferry, Arkansas was born September 21, 1944 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. He passed away on April 16, 2019 at the age of 74. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Janie Henson Smith, a brother, Thomas Smith and his first wife, Becky Freeman Smith.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jennie Felts LaRue Smith; daughter, Dede (Austin) Franks; son, Brent (Angela) Smith, step-son, Brad (Meredith) LaRue; grandchildren, Cameron Franks, Jonathan Franks, Phoebe Smith, Britney LaRue, Brooke LaRue, Braddox LaRue, Jack Thomas LaRue; great-grandchildren, Harleigh Smith and Remington Fleming; siblings, Roy (Lynn) Smith, Kenneth (Sally) Smith and Patti (Melvin) Clinton and many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family members.
Don loved riding his motorcycle, cooking, watching baseball, especially the Cardinals and spending time with friends and family.
He retired from the Union Pacific Railroad where he was an engineer for many years.
He served his country as a Marine in the Armed Forces and was a Vietnam Veteran.
A time of visitation will be Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan, from 5:00-7:00 P.M.
