Obituary

Donnie Wayne Hill of Sheridan, Arkansas was born November 8, 1954 at Malvern, Arkansas, the son of the late Edward and Elizabeth Mathis Hill. He was a very active member of First Landmark Baptist Church, where he served as Deacon, and had taught several Sunday School Classes over the years. Once of his greatest legacies will be the labor of love that he put into the Celebrate Recovery Ministry at First Landmark, and the lives that have been blessed as a result. He was a 1973 graduate of Sheridan High School, and had worked for West Fraser, formerly International Paper, for 47 years. In his spare time he enjoyed wood working, fishing, and hunting, especially the youth hunt. He was a longtime member, and past president, of Sheridan Hunting Club. Donnie also enjoyed coaching, and supporting his boys baseball teams while they were growing up. He also was an organ donor.

Mr. Hill died Monday, November 23, 2020 at Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock, at the age of 66.

Survivors include his high school sweetheart, who has been his wife for 47 years, Pam Tucker Hill of Sheridan; sons and daughters-in-law, Jeremy and Summer Hill of Sheridan, Nick and Beth Hill of Dewitt; daughter, Melissa Stickford of Hensley; grandchildren, Skylar Stickford, Peyton Hill, Addison Hill, Presley Hill, Emma Hill; brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Pat Hill of Magnolia, Dale and Sandy Hill of Sheridan, Danny and Ann Hill of Sheridan; Uncle and aunt, Donnie and Mary Sue Mathis of Sheridan. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and countless numbers of friends.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, November 25, 2020, at Lost Creek Cemetery in Sheridan, with Bro. Shawn Hill, Bro. Danny Hill, and Bro. Dehaan Thornton officiating. Visitation is Tuesday, November 24, 2020, from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan.

Memorials may be made to Celebrate Recovery at First Landmark Baptist Church, or First Landmark Baptist Church Building Fund.

Before his surgery last week, Donnie told Pam that whatever the outcome, it would be a "Win-Win" for him. Although our hearts are broken right now, we celebrate His "Win", going to be with His Jesus, and we look forward to that glad reunion day!
