Doris Jeanne Hendrickson of Sheridan, Arkansas was born March 16, 1925, in Hamilton, Ohio to the late Wilbur Edward and Ruth Rose Buell. Mrs. Jeanne passed away May 9, 2024, at home surrounded by her family.

On May 3, 1946 Jeanne married Donald "Sarge" "Bones" William Hendrickson at St. Patrick's Cathedral in Parish of Calcasieu, Louisiana.  "Sarge" was a Master Sargent in the US Air Force and Jeanne supported him through WWII, Korean War, and Vietnam War. They traveled all over the United States and Canada.  One of their dreams was to have a big family. They were parents to ten wonderful children, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Jeanne was full of life and was always ready for adventures.  Her and her husband traveled all over the United States. They had their children in Illinois, Florida, Massachusetts, Texas, Canada, and Arkansas. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church.  Some of her best memories were with her friends and family. Jeanne enjoyed painting ceramics, crocheting, dancing, writing letters to her friends and family, cooking and playing cards. She was always so excited for the holidays and her birthday. This was when she knew everyone would be together.

Most knew Mrs. Jeanne for her homemade biscuits at the old Road Runner in Sheridan that she made almost every morning. After many years of working at different Road Runners she started working at Cranfords deli in Redfield.  She made lifelong friends with many giving her the strength she had to add many precious years to her life.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Donald Hendrickson, two brothers Wilbur (Jiggs) Buell, Floyd Buell, a sister Daisy Hillard, son in law Donnie Mabry, great granddaughter Tawny Wilson.

Survivors include her ten children Kathy Mabry, Michael Hendrickson, Renee (James) Gassiott, Elouise (Steve) Turner, Terry (Mark) Michael, Sharon Hendrickson, Mark Hendrickson, Kelly Hendrickson, Leslie (Farshad) Nystrom, Trina (Neal) Porter and 27 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren and 21 great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in Sheridan, from 6:00 pm to 8:00pm on Monday, May 13.

Funeral Service will be Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at 8:30am with Bro. Jimmy Easley officiating. Her daughter Renee Gassiott will read a special letter written by Jeanne. Michael Hendrickson, her son will read a special poem that Jeanne loved.

Burial will follow at Little Rock National Cemetery 2523 Springer Blvd. Little Rock, AR 72206 from 10:30am to 11:00am. There will be a short prayer written by her grandson David Rogers.

Pallbearers are Leslie Nystrom, Sharron Hendrickson, Renee Gassiott, Kelly Hendrickson, Tracy Townsend, David Rogers, Kaleb Townsend, and Trey Hinkle. Honorary pallbearers are Michael Hendrickson and El Louise Turner.
