Obituary

Doris Reynolds Winston of Sheridan was born in Grapevine, Arkansas, on February 14, 1916, the daughter of the late Marvin Andrew and Arcenia Ianthia Davis Reynolds. She died in Little Rock, on February 1, 2008 at the age of 91. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Bennie Winston; five brothers, Shuford, Boyce, T.G. and Paul Reynolds and Frank Brown; and four sisters, Dolas Reynolds, Johnnie Brewer House, Pauline Massey, and Judy Maines. She was a charter member of First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan, president of Hope Sunday School Class for several years, Director of Beginner's Choir for 25 years, and also a member of Faith and later Grace Sunday School Classes.

She is survived by her son W.A. and wife Deborah Winston of Sheridan, and two daughters, Jo Murry of Little Rock and B.J. and husband Eddie Smith of Prattsville; one brother, Charles Reynolds of Loyalton, California; three sisters: Rachel Foster of Little Rock, Frances Moore and Betty Vailes of Grapevine; six grandchildren: Andrea Hale, Brent Winston, Tom and Tamara Murry, Tamara and Brent Easley, Chad and Sarah Smith, and Crystal and Russell Gibbs; seven great-grandchildren: Jillian Hale, Ella and Gretchen Murry, Elizabeth, Madlyn, and Clay Smith, and Deagan Gibbs.

Visitation will be at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in Sheridan on Sunday, February 3 from 2-4 p.m. Funeral services will be February 4 at 2 p.m. at First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan with Bro. James Winston and Bro. Tim Montgomery officiating. Burial will be at Lost Creek Cemetery following funeral services, Bro. Shawn Hill officiating.

Pallbearers are Brent Winston, Tom Murry, Chad Smith, Gary Spear, David Earl Brewer, Billy Carroll Reynolds, Jerry Brewer, Rommie Brewer, Gerald Reynolds, and Larry Reppond. Memorials can be given to the First Landmark Baptist Church Youth Ministry, 402 West Center Street, Sheridan, Arkansas 72150.
