Dorothy Williams Hawkins Garms of Sheridan, Arkansas was born July 31, 1933 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Harmon and Daisy Poore Williams. She was a member of Hope Pentecostal Church and a retired Walmart employee. She loved to sew, can, read and write in her journal daily.

Ms. Garms died Sunday, March 19, 2017 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock at the age of 83.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Bob Hawkins and Chuck Garms, sisters, Dutch Holder, Rita Kell, Eula Mae Penick; brother, Howard Williams.

Survivors: sons, Chester and wife Brenda Hawkins, Kevin and wife Nita Hawkins all of Sheridan; grandchildren, Vanessa Hawkins of Sheridan, Christopher Hawkins of Alaska, Kayla Ring and Kara Ring of Sheridan; 4 great grandchildren; brother, James Williams of Pine Bluff; step-son, Carl and wife Carol Garms of Texas; 3 step grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Graveside service will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Lost Creek Cemetery in Sheridan with Bro. Steve Cypert officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service at the funeral home from 10:00 until 10:45 A.M.

Pallbearers are David Hollingshead, Bobby Taylor, John McClure, Dale Davenport, Blake Jones and Danny Herndon.
