Dorothy Ponnee McReynolds Roberts of Sheridan, Arkansas was born September 18, 1930 at England, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Ed and Molly Sloan McReynolds. She was saved and baptized, September 1946 and has been a member of Little Creek Missionary Baptist Church ever since. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Roberts died Thursday, October 16, 2008 at her home, surrounded by her family, at the age of 78 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimers. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Luther Elvis "Hot" Roberts; 2 daughters, Hazel Roberts and Alice Faye Roberts; sister, Ruby Roberts; 6 brothers, Glen, Arthur, Paul, Charles, Carlin, and Joe McReynolds.

Survivors include her 6 sons, Elvis and wife Willa Roberts of Sheridan, Dean and wife Tina Roberts of Prattsville, Elrod and wife Pat Roberts, Wayne and wife Karla Roberts, Clifton and wife Shanne and Darrell Roberts all of Sheridan: 4 daughters, Doris Smith and Kenny Nash of White Hall, Kathy and husband Thomas Long of Sheridan, Loretta and husband Jeff Main of Sheridan, Teena and husband Davy Shelton of Redfield; 18 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren along with several nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, October 20, 2008 at Little Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan with Bro. Don Robinson, Bro. Rick Poyner, Bro. Jim Wagner and Bro. Calvin Holmes officiating. Burial will be in Lost Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00-5:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Pallbearers: Jeff Hager, Mark Hager, Butch Jenson, Anthony Holmes, Kenny Mooney, and Steve Ausbrooks. Honorary Pallbearers: Jerry Cotton and Mike Sweeney.
