Obituary

Dorothy M. Wimberly Williams of Sheridan, Arkansas was born January 9, 1928 at Star City, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Robert Earl and Elvie Etta Owens Wimberly.  She was a member of New Life Fellowship Church in Sheridan, and in earlier years, had quite a gift for embroidery and quilting.   She lived a life of unselfish kindness, and enjoyed blessing her family, her Church, and anyone in need, with her amazing cooking, along with her strong faith in God.   She leaves her family with a rich legacy of faith, hope, and love.

Ms. Williams died Monday, September 9, 2019 at Greystone Nursing Home in Cabot, at the age of 91.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Newman Williams; granddaughter, Laura Williams; brothers, J.T. Wimberly, Earl Von Wimberly; sisters, Pearl Harrison, Bonnie Puckett.

Survivors include her sons, Chester "Bud" Williams of Sheridan, Senator Eddie Joe Williams of Cabot; daughter, Gail Webb of Sheridan; grandchildren, Kendra Bradford, Ray Williams, Valerie Tucker, Bethany Hartz, Amanda Glover, Tiffinie Taylor, Hannah Warren; Teresa Whisenhunt, Alicia Atnip; great grandchildren, Brittany Graves, Cole Bradford, Blake Williams, Luke Williams, Rebecca Johnson, Hunter Tucker, Austin Tucker, Carson Cook, Caleb Cook, Lane Hartz, Maggie Hartz, Spencer Glover, Sophie Glover, Lawson Taylor, Hudson Taylor, Molly Kate Warren, Caroline Warren, David George Warren, Gracie Whisenhunt, Conner Whisenhunt, Lauren Thomas, Jacob Atnip; great great grandchildren, Rawling, Ellanore, Lela, Jamie, Ritter; sister-in-law, Emma Lee Wimberly of Sheridan and a host of nieces, nephews, church family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, September 12, 2019, at New Life Fellowship Church in Sheridan (3482 Hwy. 270 East), with Bro. Steve Cypert and Bro. Marvin Webb officiating. Burial will be in Lost Creek Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday, 6:30-8:00 P.M. at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in Sheridan.
