Douglas Allen Simpson of Sheridan, Arkansas was born July 26, 1968 at Little Rock, the son of Duel Simpson and the late Sarah Wilkerson Simpson. He was a member of Lost Creek Missionary Baptist Church, was a carpenter and enjoyed playing music.

Doug died Saturday, September 10, 2011 at Baptist Memorial Medical Center in North Little Rock, at the age of 43. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sarah Simpson.

Survivors include his daughter, Hanna Keenzel of East End; father, Duel Simpson; brother, Greg Simpson; sister, Renee Harlan and husband Doug; all of Sheridan. He is also survived by a niece, a nephew, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, September 13, 2011, at Lost Creek Cemetery in Sheridan with Bro. Michael Walton officiating. There will be no visitation.
