IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Doyce
Dougan
January 31, 1941 – March 5, 2022
Elmer Doyce Dougan of Prattsville, Arkansas was born January 31, 1941 at Prattsville, the son of the late Elmer and Florence Booth Dougan. Doyce was a hard worker his whole life. He grew up tending to livestock, a love that he never outgrew. That love of horses and cattle even lent to his CB handle, "Cowboy". He and his buddies in "Missed It" hunting club, seemed to enjoy those CB radio's about as much as they did hunting. He worked alongside his brother and father, building houses. As much as he knew about construction, he probably knew more about machinery. He could build or repair practically anything. He also served in the Arkansas Army National Guard. He owned and operated a trucking company for many years, hauling all over the United States. After he thought he was retired for good, he was offered an opportunity working for the Grant County Sheriff's Office, supervising inmates doing community service. That job was a tremendous blessing to Doyce, and he took great pride serving his community. His efforts did not go unnoticed, and a few years ago, he was Presented the Grant County Person of the Year award by the Grant County Chamber of Commerce.
