George Dwayne Mills of Sheridan, Arkansas was born March 11, 1949 at Little Rock, the son of the late George Walter and Ruby Wanda Alderman Mills. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Sheridan, and had served in the United States Army. He was also a member of McElroy Hunting Club and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Mr. Mills died Friday, March 24, 2017, at his home, at the age of 68.

Survivors include his wife of over 20 years, Beverly Mills of Sheridan; step-daughters, Christie Griffin, Amanda (David) Heird, and Joanna Osgood; sister, Delayne (Mike) Rushing; half-brother, Michael Mills; half-sisters, Georgia Abner and Jennifer Cochran; nephew, Eric (Tara) Rushing; great niece, Emily; great nephew, Ethan; grandchildren, Brittany, Garrett, Karson, Madalynn, Stella, Emma, and Hudson; mother-in-law, Betty Scott; sisters-in-law, Peggy (Tim) Chandler and Charlotte (David) Shaw.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan, with Dr. Ed Simpson officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Sheridan. Visitation is Tuesday, 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
