Rev. E.S. Cunningham of Little Rock, Arkansas was born October 27, 1930 in Norene, Tennessee, the son of the late Harvel and Loraine Patterson Cunningham. He graduated from Central High School, and the Missionary Baptist Seminary, pastored East Union Missionary Baptist Church for over 16 years, and served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was co-owner of Landmark Florist for 10 years with his wife and was a 32nd degree Mason with Iron Springs Masonic Lodge #342. He enjoyed building furniture, woodworking and watching the Razorbacks on TV.

Rev. Cunningham passed away to go to his heavenly home on Monday, September 15, 2025 at the VA Hospital in Little Rock at the age of 94.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Alice C. Cunningham.

Survivors: son, Stan Cunningham (Markeeta); daughters, Brenda Alexander (Mike) Donna Lipin (Ray), Joy Moix (Phillip), Dephane Cunningham all of Little Rock; 10 grandchildren and numerous extended family members including great grandchildren and friends.

Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Friday, September 19, 2025 (the 72nd Anniversary of Rev and Mrs. Cunningham) at East Union Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Dennis Holmes and Bro. John Graham officiating. Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be at 10:00 AM also at the church. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
