Obituary

Earl D. Mathis of Sheridan, Arkansas was born February 18, 1928 at Sheridan, the son of the late Fred and Hattie Kimmer Mathis. He was a member of the Lost Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan, retired United States Air Force Master Sergeant and was retired as maintenance supervisor for the Slattery Building in Shreveport, Louisiana. Most recently, Mr. Mathis worked part-time with the South Sheridan/Little Creek Water Association. Mr. Mathis was also a member of the Sheridan Masonic Lodge #260, a member of the Scottish Rite, was a 32nd Degree Mason and a Shriner.

Mr. Mathis died Tuesday, July 6, 2004 at his residence in Sheridan at the age of 76.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, July 9, 2004 at the Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel at Sheridan with Rev. Kenneth Click officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Sheridan with full Military and Masonic honors. Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 P.M.
