Eddie Monroe Ashley of Little Rock, Arkansas was born October 25, 1932 in Little Rock, the son of the late Leonard Monroe and Evelyn Douglas Ashley Wade. He was a retired minister, having preached at East End Baptist Church and had been the Production Manager for Arkansas Sign and Neon for 46 years. He was an avid deer hunter and fisherman, enjoyed gardening, and his yard was the envy of the neighborhood.

Mr. Ashley passed away on May 17, 2023 at home at the age of 90.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary McConnell Ashley, daughter, Wanda Jane Luckey, sister, Mary Lynn Dunlap.

Survivors: son, David (Jill) Ashley of East End; daughters, Jean Ann (Mark) Burkhalter of Quitman, Delores June (Ronnie) Wells of Frisco, Texas, Rebecca Ashley of East End; sister, Shirley Wicks of Austinpeay, TN; 13 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; and numerous extended family members and friends.

Funeral Service will 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at East End Baptist Church in East End with visitation from 10:30 until service time. Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Eddie Ashley, Joshua Bennett, Matthew Bennett, Brasen Strickland, Jacob Davis, Jaxon Luckey.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Salem Cemetery Association.
