Edgar Lee "Tator" Darnell of Leola, Arkansas was born July 22, 1962 at Pine Bluff, Arkansas, the son of the late Marshall Lee Darnell and Alice Faye Hamilton Darnell. He was a truck driver for his entire working career. He was a member of Leola Methodist Church. Edgar enjoyed doing things to benefit young people. He was a 4-H Leader, who helped with the Livestock club, and helped organize Grant County Shooting Sports club. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, and most of all, spending time with his family.

Mr. Darnell died Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, at the age of 58.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Glenda Hardin Darnell; son, Edmond "Bud" Darnell; daughters, Mary DeAnn Hardin, Rebecca Carol Hardin; sister, Cathy Picklesimer; grandchildren, Taylor, Brandon, Tiffany, Michelle, J.J., Carl, and Jeffrey. He is also survived by many friends that he considered family, including Michael, Tammie, Stephen, Anthony, Billy and Sue Poe, and Samantha Poe Woodall.

A celebration of Edgar's life will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, March 28, 2021 at the dock at Cox's Creek in Leola with Bro. Michael Poe officiating.
