Edgar Darrell Smith of Sheridan, Arkansas was born September 5, 1958 in Madisonville, Texas, the son of Shirley Lee Cannon Smith and the late Edgar Faril Smith. He was a retired CDL instructor for ARDOT. He had many interests which include, hunting, working on his antique trucks, Rat Rods, riding his Harley. He could work on and fix almost anything and was fond of saying "If I Could See It I Could Build it". He was past president of Clearwater HOA, a member of Mid South Car Club, and a former Chief and 1st Responder of Center Grove Fire Department.

Mr. Smith passed away at Baptist Springhill Medical Center in North Little Rock on July 22, 2025 at the age of 66.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edgar Faril Smith.

Survivors: wife of 42 years and best friend, Jo Carole Adams Smith; sons, Daniel Joseph Smith, Andrew Michael Smith all of Sheridan; brothers, Steven Lamar Smith of Rowell, Darren Edward Smith of Pine Bluff, Richard Lee Smith of Pine Bluff; and his loyal sidekick, Rusty.

Graveside service will be held at a later date.
