Edward Leon Lavelle, Sr. of Sheridan, Arkansas was born November 15, 1943 at Covington, Tennessee the son of the late William Thomas and Josie Beatrice Fletcher Lavelle. He was a member of Marlow Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon.
Mr. Lavelle was a master plumber, a Grant County Auxiliary Deputy, a member of the Grant County Sheriff's Auxiliary and Constable for the Ico Community where he was known as Grant #18. He was also a member of Masonic Gavel Lodge #532 and Faith Chapter #223 Order of Eastern Star.
Mr Lavelle died Sunday, March 21, 2004 at his home at the age of 60.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers: Hildred Lavelle and Charles "BooBoo" Lavelle and sister Anita Riales.
Survivors are his wife, Louise Green Lavelle of the home, Sons: Edward Leon Lavelle Jr. Of Sheridan and Thomas (T.J.) Lavelle of Hensley
One Grandchild: Samantha Lea Lavelle of Sheridan and an aunt, Willie Smith of Belton, Missouri
Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 24, 2004 at Marlow Missionary Baptist Curch with Bro. Charles Lewallen and Bro. Robert Stanley officiating. Burial will follow at Marvins Chapel Cemetery near Sheridan. Visitation: 5-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
