Elbert Cornet Ouzts, Jr. of Prattsville, Arkansas was born January 10, 1915 in Ashland, Louisiana, the son of the late Elbert Cornet Ouzts, Sr., and Birtie Ramsey Ouzts. He was a retired self-employed logger.

Mr. Ouzts died Monday, January 10, 2005 at Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton at the age of 90.

He was preceded in death by two wives, Cassie Ouzts and Alta Mae Hobby; Sons, Cornet and Billy Ouzts.

Survivors: Son, Ronnie Lee Ouzts of Poyen;
Daughters, Barbara Dean Buie of Prattsville,
Alice Elaine Black of Prattsville;
Step Son, Clifford Hobby of Benton;
Step Daughters, Fran Johnson and Clara Sykes both of Benton;
Sister, Eunice Outzs of Winnsboro, Louisiana.

4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, January 12, 2005 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in Sheridan. Burial will follow in Philadelphia Cemetery at Prattsville. Visitation:6-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Matt Nitch; Terry Fite; Truman Fite; Gene Earnest; Floyd Wilson and Bobby Turner.
