Obituary

Eleanor Chambers Mitchell of Sheridan, Arkansas was born April 15, 1940 at Fox, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Barney and Oval Berry Chambers. She worked for Fiser's store in Sheridan for several years, and later worked for, and retired from, Kohler. She was a member of Sheridan Riding Club, and as a breast cancer survivor, she had participated in the Susan G. Komen "Race for the Cure". Mrs. Mitchell loved her family dearly, and left a rich legacy of love and cherished memories.

Mrs. Mitchell died Thursday, February 25, 2021 at her home near Sheridan, at the age of 80. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, O.D. Mitchell, and a daughter, Teri Mitchell.

Survivors include her daughter, Toni Poindexter (Dan) of Sheridan; son, Steven Mitchell (Lesa) of Mountain View; grandchildren, Krista Brown (Ronnie), Eric Mitchell (Jennifer), Melissa Clark (Clint); step-granddaughter, Jessica Ferguson Wangler (Andrew); great grandchildren, Addison Lybrand, Dawson Brown, Wilder Mitchell, Weston Mitchell, Ivy Beth Mitchell, Jace Clark, Chance Clark, Tyler Clark, Aidan Poindexter.

At her request, a private family service will be held in Mountain View, Arkansas. There will be no visitation.
