Elizabeth Mae Lisenbey Benning of Leola, Arkansas was born September 11, 1937 at Sheridan, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Robert Alton and Thelma Elizabeth Fite Lisenbey. She was a member of Faith Assembly of God Church and loved spending time with her large family. Everyone she met, whether a relative or not, called her "Grandma".

Mrs. Benning died Sunday, April 24, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family, at the age of 78. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Delmar Benning, Jr., a brother, Benny Lisenbey, and a great grandson, Asa Inman.

Survivors include her sons, Dale Benning of Prattsville, Robin Benning of Poyen; daughters, Crystal Derrick of Hot Springs, Sheila Halsdorf of Sheridan, Mary Keeth of Leola, daughter-by-choice, Janell Benning of Prattsville; brothers, Fred Lisenbey of Poyen, and Wayne Lisenbey; sister, Madie Harrington of Star City; 15 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and many friends.


Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 26, 2016 in Philadelphia Cemetery at Prattsville with Bro. Steve Partridge and Bro. Michael Walton officiating. Visitation is also Tuesday, 9:00-10:45 A.M. at the funeral home.
