Emma Young Gray of Benton, Arkansas was born July 31, 1933 in Sheridan, the daughter of the late Henry and Minnie Cotton Young.

She was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church and she enjoyed watching westerns, cooking and taking care of her great grandchildren.

Ms. Gray died Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at Heartland Nursing and Rehab in Benton at the age of 88.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband David Gray; son Bobby McElroy; sister Janie Dobbs and grandson John Scates.

Survivors; sons Charles "Buddy" McElroy of Sheridan; daughter Wanda Scates Andrews and husband Kenneth of East End; brother Bully Young of Calmer; grandchildren Gerald (Petey) Scates, Brittney Mendoza, Earnie McElroy, Mary Ward, Bobby Joe McElroy, Christy Hiatt, Shelly Gardner, Dottie Carr and numerous great grandchildren.

Graveside service will be at Oak Grove Cemetery near Fordyce at noon on Saturday, December 18, 2021.

Visitation will be at the funeral home Saturday from 10:00-11:00 A.M.
